Organic Products Guide"Your definitive source of information on organic products"If you were searching for organic products, and decided to look-up the word "organic" in the dictionary, you would find that it means something that is made from natural, living matter. Plants are organic. So is the stuff they grow in--plain old dirt. Organic products or ingredients can also mean something that is made without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or any other synthesized ingredients. The organic
products that I
write about are either made
with non-toxic, safe, organic ingredients, or are pesticide-free. Real
organic products. Natural ingredients. Some are certified, some are
not, but I feel all should be. Agency certified at that.

Just like you, I
want natural, safe, non-toxic, no cancer-causing ingredients. While
researching for my Organic Products Guide, I looked at the label
ingredients of a window cleaning solution I was
using around my house, then at the so-called "natural" laundry
detergent and the laundry stain removal product I did my wash with.
I
was stunned at what I read and later discovered.
Organic
they
definitely are
not, and what I learned was
enough to
make me sick. And it will you, too... Really.
I never knew so many non-organic and possibly hazardous chemicals were being used in my household cleaning products. Reading labels is like reading a good murder mystery... The clues and the whodunits are there, but you either can't see them or just don't know they are there. Who knew? The
big
corporations, that's who. Name brand
manufacturers know. What are they
thinking? The Food and
Drug
Administration (FDA) knows, too. I
began to wonder what the problem was with this government agency,
responsible for the safety of the food and drugs--and chemical
ingredients--that we use every day. Was it that they
just didn't
care? The answer may shock
you.
Then I got angry, and started searching on the Web. What I found completely floored me. Hidden, possibly dangerous, ingredients? Questionable claims of safety? Can you believe it? Even something as remote as septic tank care is being affected by these chemicals. I began asking
some serious
questions--about everything
I was buying that was "processed" or had non- organic synthetic
chemicals among the ingredients. Then I started
thinking about
a website that would pose
the kind of questions that need to be asked. And post the kind of
information you need to make healthy decisions for yourself. All in one
place.
Most
likely, you're as concerned as me about what
these synthetic
ingredients might be doing to us, physically AND mentally. What they
are
doing to our
family and friends. And
especially, our kids. My kids are
cats--Boris and
Natasha--and they can get
sick from some of this stuff, too, but you get the idea. I want to bring all the things I've learned--and am still learning--about various products and ingredients to one place, and share them with you. To have you add your comments on organic and non-organic products to my site. As always, problems or satisfaction, you are free to add to my site. I designed the Organic Products Guide website as a way to help you sort out information about products that are truly organic, from those that are non-organic or use synthetic and, quite possibly, hazardous chemicals in their ingredients. |
