Organic Environment Guide
Earth day is every day!
Fire, Earth,
Air, Water
When it comes to an organic environment guide, the quality of the very
things we take for granted needs to be closely examined. Things that
we consider a part of our unspoken birthright, such as healthy soil and
water, unpolluted air, and energy (fire) resources necessary to convert raw resources into useable forms.
Consider a few simple facts about an organic enviroment:
- These life-sustaining elements are present in every aspect of our lives
- In even its most basic forms, life would not be possible without them
- When the quality of one of these elements begins to deteriorate, they all quickly follow
Nature Really Does Keep Score
An ancient, living and breathing system, Nature strives to maintain a
wonderful but delicate balance on the planet. When the balance of that
organic environment is lost--through pollution, misuse, or depletion of
resources, over time, Nature will work unerringly to restore it.
If that restoration process requires the elimination of a species,
Nature will not hesitate in carrying out the necessary steps to achieve
that end. The evolution of life on the planet depends on that
elimination taking place.
Dinosaurs are a prime example. Despite having lived on the planet for
hundreds of millions of years, the species was brought to an end just
as humankind was emerging from the mists of animalistic ignorance.
For Nature's purposes, thinking and reasoning
abilities made the difference between evolution or extinction for the
the dinosaurs.
For the human race, the lack of long-term thinking
and reasoning (longer than one's own lifetime) with regard to an
organic and harmonious environment, may be the very reason Nature needs
to eliminate the human race.
Are Humans Next?
While you may not believe it as yet, many unusual environmental
occurrences are taking place right now, around the world. All are
related to that delicate balance, and all point directly to Nature's
way of restoring order to her systems.
Pollution of our organic environment is rapidly becoming Nature's
deciding factor. No matter whether it's the air, the water, the land,
or the massive amounts of heat we create with internal combustion
energy sources, Nature is aware.
Elimination of the species may be already be in progress...
Water
In many places around the globe, freshwater is becoming scarce. One
reason is overpopulation. Another is humanity's failure to clean and
restore freshwater to Nature's groundwater systems. We treat our
sewage, then dump it in the ocean, taking it completely out of the
freshwater cycle!
Can we not see what will result?
Air
While many governments globally are taking up the cause for clean air,
it may be too little too late. Destruction of rain forests and the
burning of fossil fuels such as coal and petroleum are placing a
tremendous burden on Nature's ability to recover and recycle our air.
All life forms are in danger!
Earth
Many farmers and growers in many countries--the U.S. included--practice
what is called "monoculture." Year after year, one crop is grown in the
same place and in the same soil, depleting the land of important soil
nutrients.
Very short-sighted, as this process not only degrades
the quality of each successive round of produce harvested from the
land, but irretrievably destroys an organic environment's balance!
Fire
Of the six present day sources of energy--coal, oil, nuclear, wind,
solar, hydro--our society relies on the two that create the most
pollution havoc with our environment. Coal and oil.
Wind and solar, while viable, still remain elusive in terms of
conversion ratios. Wind and sun are not always present in sufficient
quantities to make them useful on a fulltime basis.
As well, the respective technologies are just beginning to come on
line, leaving a large margin of error and a long uptake period of time.
Designs are still relatively crude in terms of conversion ratios
(source to useable energy).
While nuclear energy may have its drawbacks (waste disposal, accidental
radiation release, etc.), in our current environment the pluses far
outweigh the minuses.
For one, unlike fossil fuels, nuclear energy produces no air pollution
whatsoever. Secondly, the technology is advancing rapidly, making the
decision to utilize presently available designs much easier and much
more desirable in terms of conversion ratios.
No Time Like The Present
I've heard the statement many times: "I'm just one person. What can I do?"
My response is to say, humans constantly demonstrate the amazing
quality of generosity. Whether it's being generous with time or money,
or organizational skills or even simple labor, we never fail to come
through when there is a cause involved.
This may be the most critically important cause you could ever be a part of!
Nature is speaking to you, right now. Will you sit by and let her
eliminate the human race? Or will you work to help her restore harmony
and balance to our shared organic environment?
The choice is yours! Just don't wait until it's too late...
