Organic
Household Products
Your non- organic household products may be
hazardous to
your
health!
To
Be or Not To Be
When
it
comes to your home, the facts are plain and
simple. Everybody has to clean their house and all the things in it,
and
everybody does it or has someone do it for them. Just do it, as the
saw goes.
What
that
means is that the household products you
use--soaps
or detergents, cleaners, shampoos, polishes--all play an important part
of
your life. And necessarily so.
The
fact
is, there's whole mess of chemistry you don't know about, going on just
below the surface.
One
very
important thing to remember about the
non- organic
household products you use while cleaning house or doing the laundry:
The
manufacturers are messing with your health--without
your knowledge or your permission.
That's
right... Without your knowledge or your
permission!
A
Chemical Jigsaw Puzzle
Instead
of
household products with organic
ingredients,
the Goliaths use different synthetic chemicals in their ingredients, to
get certain results when they make cleaners and detergents.
The
way the
manufacturers do that is by making new
chemicals that do different things. Such as make your detergent sudsy,
your clothes white or to leave your counter-tops with a sparkling shine.
The
key
ideas here are synthetic
chemicals and
making
money--lots of it.
Your
Health May Be At Risk
Many
of the
ingredients contained in kitchen
and bathroom
products use synthetic chemicals, some
of
them with pretty nasty side effects. Like cancer, birth defects,
Alzheimer's. Even some forms of diabetes have been linked to
synthetic chemicals.
Many
of
today's diseases either didn't exist or had
very
low patient numbers fifty years ago. We are all at risk for what the
chemical producers for the last fifty years have been introducing to
our lives and our environments. It's not good...
Organic
household products don't do that. Organic
ingredients or certified non- toxic chemicals won't harm your
health--or your
family's.
The
corporate logic on synthetic chemicals is that what
you don't need to
know is what's really in their products. The so-called
ingredients
listed on the labels are all they want you to know. And those
ingredients are not really the ingredients.
Okay,
they
are. The point is, it's what's not on the
labels that can be dangerous. Toxic.
Many
non- organic household products list things like cleaning agents and
buffering agents. Or
fragrances and brightening agents.
But
the manufacturers won't tell you what the
actual ingredients are...
It's
on
their Material Data Safety Sheets (MSDS), but
who reads that junk?! Almost nobody, that's who.
I
read them
to collect information that I can tell you
about. Just so you know
the facts I gather can be verified.
Why
They
Won't
Manufacture Organic Household
Products
In 1938, a new federal law called "The Food, Drug and Cosmetics Act"
took effect. Though the law empowers the U.S. Food and Drug
Administration (FDA) to force manufacturers to
prove their
products are safe before marketing them.
|
Fact:
A new chemical substance is
being discovered every nine seconds of every work
day!
That's 9,600 new chemicals made every
single
work
day!
|
Instead, the
FDA chooses
to focus its enforcement
efforts on the accuracy of information on product labels.
You can forget
about
household product safety. Isn't
going to happen. Not when the only thing the FDA is interested in is the
label information!
We both know
that, as usual, it's
all about the
money... even though what the Goliaths are doing endangers
your
health.
