It may seem like a long way up the
steps when you're standing at the
bottom, but the effort will be well worth it!
In terms of your and your family's long-term well-being...
Non- organic laundry products
can become a thing of the past. But only
if you are willing to become a active member of the Organic Cycle.
This is not something you should ignore any longer. Your health and
your family's health may depend on it. As well, the environment really
does
need your help.
Become a working
member of the Organic Cycle.
Step 1: Take an honest and accurate
inventory of all your non-organic laundry
products.
That list should include detergents and soaps, color boosting
solutions, stain removers, bleaches and non-bleaching whitening
products, spot removers, pre-soaking products, disinfecting liquids...
Anything that you use to do laundry.
Your list might include other laundry products not mentioned here, but
you get the idea. It's all about becoming aware of the hidden hazards
of non- organic laundry products.
Step 2: Eliminate all those non- organic laundry
products from your home.
Make a vow to not buy anything that might harm
you and your family, now or in the future.
Scientists and researchers are showing that the effects of some
chemicals on humans doesn't show up for decades! So, a little planning
on your part goes a long way towards making our world a safer and
healthier place.
Anything that you do now as a member of the Organic Cycle will pay
dividends. Not only for you and your family on a personal level, but
for society and the environment on a larger scale.
Step 3: Start buying organic laundry products.
Spend time researching them on the Internet.
Search for their ingredients, which you can usually find on the product
manufacturers' websites. Or do a search for their Material Safety Data
Sheet (MSDS).
A good place to start is by clicking on one of the Google advertisers'
links in the box at the top right of this page. I screen those
advertisers, ensuring that every one offers only organic and/or
pesticide-free products.
Step 4: Get everyone you know involved in the Organic
Cycle.
Your efforts are magnified when your friends, acquaintences and
business associates become aware and join the Organic Cycle. You can
help them do that.
Introduce them to my website. Get them investigating their own
commercial products for themselves. Find new sources and write about
them here (below) and elsewhere.
Facebook your ideas, Tweet them, add them to your favorite blogs. Do
whatever it

takes to
get the word out about the dangers of non- organic laundry products.
Participate in action groups, including consumer groups, environmental
protection organizations (there is lots to do!), community improvement
and awareness groups and many other like-minded Organic Cycle projects.
There's no rest for the wicked--the chemical manufacturers--so don't
stop...
Step 5: Don't ever stop being a member of the Organic Cycle, caring
about your environment and sharing what you know!
